REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

COMPUTER SYSTEMS ANALYST/HARDWARE TECHNICAL SUPPORT
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT TECHNICIAN


Notice is hereby given that proposals will be received at the Ferndale Housing Commission until Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at 4:00 P.M. local time for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and performing all work necessary and incidental to:

Providing technical support for the Housing Commission’s IT system and computer hardware and windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications. The system consist of 8 (eight) workstations, with six printers/copiers, and a LAN. The Commission utilizes Tenmast Software for its housing administration (supportive services for Tenmast Software operate under a separate agreement with the provider), a high-speed Internet connection, and Microsoft Office Products. Proposals must provide at a minimum a 24-hour response time. Proposal must be submitted in two separate formats. One format should be submitted based on time and materials. The second format should be based on a monthly service contract. The Commission will determine which format provides the best cost-advantage based on prior year needs. Contractors must be to provide their own liability insurance and worker’s compensation for its employees. Proof of insurance must accompany the bid documents. Contractors and their key employees must be able to pass a criminal background check and be willing to provide the necessary information to generate the background check. Contractors must be willing to enter into a confidentiality agreement and agree to the terms of the Commission’s Ethics Policy. The contract will last for a period of two years after award.

Proposals shall be delivered and addressed to the Ferndale Housing Commission, attention Deborah E. Wilson, Executive Director, 415 Withington, Ferndale, MI 48220.
Any Proposer wishing their proposal to be considered must make certain that their proposal is received as specified herein.

Each Proposer must be properly certified in the various IT/Software/Hardware formats to meet industry standards, and must meet any licensing requirements of the State of Michigan.
